Sulla dorsale montuosa del Chianti sul versante valdarnese a 650 metri di altitudine troviamo il Borgo di Caiano ed il Parco Naturale di Cavriglia. Per raggiungerli occorre prendere la strada provinciale Delle Miniere fino a Castelnuovo dei Sabbioni, subito oltrepassato l'abitato al primo incrocio prendere a sinistra per Caiano. Il borgo di Caiano è uno dei primi insediamenti del comune di Cavriglia, di origine etrusca. Si presenta ai visitatori come un borghetto di montagna con case di pietra una piazzetta e una chiesa. Da qui la vista si apre su tutta la vallata. Continuando a salire troviamo il Parco Naturale di Cavriglia, una area protetta di 600 ettari. La superficie del Parco è costituita soprattutto da boschi di castagni e querci.
